Car history:
It has the original, numbers matching drive-train (engine # shown in the photos) and runs great! The 4 speed manual transmission shifts smooth, and the clutch feels perfect. Chrome HOOKER Side Pipes look great and sound even better! It starts right up, has a great idle - no smoke or strange noises - runs strong, and stops as it should with 4 Wheel Power Disc Brakes. Power Steering makes turning easy. The white paint shines nicely and shows well, but does show some wear up close from its age (a few nicks, chips, etc... from normal use over the years). The chrome is in good shape as well, with normal wear and shines great. Has the luggage rack in the back and a big block hood up front. The blue interior is in very nice shape overall, showing minimal wear from years of use. The soft convertible top is like new, no rips, tears, or anything like that - it is rarely used since I store it indoors and have a hard top as well. The hard convertible top is in good shape as well, fits in place nicely and completes the look of the car. All the lights, signals, windows, latches, etc... all work properly. The frame is solid, as is the rest of the undercarriage - no rust, rot, repairs, or anything like that.
Overall it is a great collectible Corvette Stingray Convertible with all the right options (chrome bumpers, numbers matching, 4 speed, convertible with both tops, side pipes, luggage rack). Not a perfect show or museum car by any means, but a great looking driver you can go have fun with today! Ready to hit the road.....turn the key, drop the top and roar through the gears!!! Sold for $18,069 on September 4, 2016.
